I got stung by paper wasps 6-7 times about a week ago the swelling and pain was gone about 48 hours after. But today I have pain if I touch the sting sites and itching. Also slight swelling in the sites as well. Anybody know why?

well if you had done squatober and deadcemeber last year the wasp would have never touched you because they would have been scared of you.

Take this as a lesson and never pass on squatober and never pass on an chance to do some lifting of the deads

You probably have the stinger imbedded. The same thing happened to me a year ago. Swelling went away after a few days but reappeared a month later while working in the yard. After a few days I lanced the area and squeezed puss out. Soaked it in epsom salt and applied ointment. Still didn't see a stinger. Reappeared a month or so later and attempted the same solution. Occurred twice more to where it was seven months after being stung but has ceased.

Good luck!

That sounds about right. I didn’t know I was getting stung till I got stung 6-7 times then I saw it and brushed it hard which might have lodged the stinger in.
