Want to work on my mobility/flexibility for 2018Posted by tunechi
on 12/31/17 at 10:48 pm

I'm 6'3" and can't touch my toes without bending my legs
(only 23 y/o)
Ive always been active and lifted regularly but I've never stretched or focused on mobility. For reference, it is absolutely 100% painful for my wrists/shoulders to try to get in position for barbell squats
Does anybody have any reccomendations for a daily 10-15 min youtube routine or something I can do that is absolutely 100% beginner to ease into it?
Sabi, I know you're pretty much a ninja at this point.. where did you start?
I obviously want to try yoga at some point this year but have to start somewhere. I feel stiff as a board most days and want this to be a focal point from here on out for myself

Nah, brah!
Personally, I think you can just jump right into the yoga. It's for all levels. It will definitely help the shoulders and hamstrings.
As for wrist flexibility, I just started putting my hands in a supinated position and worked on it until they got stronger and more flexible. Now, I can do pushups like that.
I'll see what vids I can find to help out. I'm sure some other dudes will provide great feedback.

I like Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. She's laid back and has all kinds of routines.

The new one he put out a while back is the Limber 11
I do it every day and it has been great for my recovery and mobility.

Find a corner of a wall and do this for each leg and just sit there for 5 minutes. I usually straighten the lower leg.

Also, Asian squat for five minutes after every workout

Check out Trevor at Smashwerks on youtube. He has routines for almost anything. I found him by looking at some of DeFranco's stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Romwod is something I’d seen before but couldn’t think of the name of it the other night when I was searching around
Hopefully by 2019 I’ll be a yogi master

Flexibility battle? First one that can touch their toes wins.

That would make for great television

Download the bodyweight fitness program app, the routines are from the Reddit programs that have been designed by some of the best coaches in the world on each specific area. Do the starting stretching and molding mobility portions.
