Lofty goal.

I had a decent 2022. Better than 2021, but worse than 2020 (biggest riding year).

My 2023 goal is bigger miles at party pace. A few times a month I want to ride and not be concerned with pace, stop for a beer and lunch, and keep riding. I've gotten away from riding for fun, because my focus is on training and exercise, which I hope to claw back some.

I also want to throw some new hoops and skinny 29x2.2s on the Fargo at some point this year.

So far so good. Even after Houston half marathon I managed to crack out 3 miles on the beach cruiser with my dog. I'm counting it because of the wind.

That's my favorite type of riding. Hit the bayou trails and make stops along the way.

I bet a lot of people road their most miles in 2020. I know I did by a pretty wide margin.

Yep, I swim too but the pool was closed and then my club team disbanded and it took 2 or 3 months for the coach/owner to form a new team and get pool access. So I was 8 months out of the pool which sucked. I was getting in 5-6 rides/week which is more than I had ridden since I was racing 15 years ago.

Requisite sunset pic from yesterday evening.

Exactly why I'm asking. It's been a while for me and their new criteria is absolutely ridiculous even for the most simple projects. I think the owners are ready to just give up and move on.

I need to bike today. Weather is gorgeous here today.

Denton may be even worse.

Got my ride in. Had to wear knee warmers but very little wind.

That last lap was awesome. was watching it live while doing a recovery ride on the trainer. out of a 1.5hr recovery ride my HR was the highest during that 7-8 minute lap lol

Any of you play with a Rocker Plate?

I just ordered the Lifeline Rocker from Chain Reaction. On sale for $172 plus $4X shipping. 13 degrees of side tilt. No front to back travel but there are videos on how to add easily. I’m pretty excited to get one since I ride more indoors these days.

I have never used one. Hear good things about them though.

Training progress update.

Early January Zwift World KOM Reverse = 19:41 @ 266 avg
2 days ago ZWift World KOM Reverse = 18:36 @ 284 avg

More importantly I went up Innsbruck KOM (ZWIFT Achterbahn Course for this fitness test) 16 minutes later at 270 avg while early January effort was at 237 avg. with similar tempo effort between climbs.
