Stopped and let it rest but just wondering what could be hurting in my shoulder blade from doing bench?

Are you an older fellow and were you doing barbell bench? If you're older, I'd highly suggest that you stop barbell benching. switch over to DBs. Way more forgiving on your joints and saver in general.

Where? Directly on the shoulder blade or a spot between it and your spine?

In between arm and shoulder blade kind of the backside of my ball and hinge joint/rotator cuff

Try to keep your spine off the bench when you...bench. Glutes support lower, lumbar slightly arched (ain’t talking a power lifting arch), shoulders/rear delts scrunched under you. That flat back bench will bite ya.
