Blah blah blah why were you using one to begin with
it was all i had
man i just fricked up my ankle on a smith machine, i was doing a calf exercise with 200lb on it, finished my reps, went to hook it on, i thought i had it hooked on when i actually didn't because i didn't check, i didn't have the safety stoppers pulled up, the bar accelerated down in a way i couldn't get leverage to hold it up
think it's sprained now
i'll just go mosey off in embarrassment
go at it on me fit board i fricked up

You dropped the bar from shoulder height onto your ankle?

It happens. Years ago, I witnessed some big arse baw take 4 plates off one side of the barbell while leaving four on the other side. The barbell flipped out of the rack and almost killed some poor cardio bunny on the elliptical.
I've been trapped in the rack under a heavy weight when I lost my balance while squatting. I've been trapped under 315lbs on the bench press and two women had to run up to help me.
It happens.

Smiths are dangerous, breh.
Few months ago this mammoth of a kid was in the gym unloading his leg press. Smith was right next to the press, and the bar was up high. He was bent over unloading a plate, turned around while standing up, end of bar meet eye socket. Lights out; he dropped like the proverbial sack of spuds. Dude was on the ground bleeding everywhere, I've never seen a face swell up that fast. Gruesome.

Well, at least you had the bar on you back and weren't laying on you back pressing the bar up. People do that shite.
