I'm a runner, my family has a history of low BPMs. My blood pressure was 111/64.
Any of you ever experience similar BPMs?

When I was running a lot and in the best shape of my life in college, I could get my heart rate down in the low 40s

Mine has never been that low but I don't think HR's in the upper 30's are that unusual for serious endurance athletes. I also believe some of it is affected by genetics as I knew a guy who was a 4:10 miler and his resting HR was 56-58 - not very low at all for that level of fitness. Still, if you're at all concerned, I'd say go see a doc for peace of mind.

Thats not uncommon for me either. Mine is usually 38-45.
I used to run a ton and stay in pretty good shape.

Isn't anything under 60 considered healthy?

When out of shape, 60s. When in shape, 45 isn't out of the question.

No need to be concerned with a low HR if you are a runner and are in good shape. Your body is utilizing oxygen better therefore your heart uses less O2 in order to supplement the body with enough O2. Only be concerned if you symptomatic. Then it could be a heart contractions, valve regurgitation, etc issue and would need a stress test/echo.
