52 year old man with always good levels. Just got yearly test back and went from 1.07 to 3.92. Never had this high of levels before. Annual checkup next week. Should this concern me for prostate cancer??

Yes. That’s an abnormal rise in a single year (and high out of range) and you need further tests.

Go to a Urologist and get a 4K Score blood test. It is a much more reliable test for prostate cancer than just a basic PSA test.

For his age, it’s out of range.

50-59 is a max of 3.5 and he passed it in one year.

Don't get too alarmed. Do what other posters have said. It will be alright.

This means you need further tests, perhaps free PSA blood test, multi-parametric MRI, those tests will help your physician/Urologist determine if a biopsy might be needed.

Avoid sex before a test. Can skew readings.

Former prostate cancer patient- psa can fluctuate. I’d still see an urologist just to be safe
