This plan has some different lifts and motions from Young Grasshopper. Definitely felt some burn on these new ones.

Anyone know if there is a real different between skullcrushers using 1 DB with 2 hands stacked vs same weight with an EZ-curl bar and hands shoulder width apart?

These look like some long workouts

A little shorter than Strongville. I did 2 minutes rest on pretty much everything and I think most were about 80 minutes. You can shorten the rest once you get past the killer first half usually.

Friday's were closer to 60.

Starting up Pool Season today, should get two weeks in before heading to Florida. Looks to be a lot shorter than Strongville, my last workout with Strongville clocked in at 90 minutes.

W4D1 of Dumbbell done. Probably gonna run this back another month. Really starting to enjoy it and a nice change of pace from barbell the last 5-6 years.

W1D! DB (Starting over)

Really feeling that week off. Felt like a lack of stamina today. Got through it though.

Pro tip: If you go too heavy on those 2 db skullcrushers you'll feel like your tricep is about to snap around rep 22.

This second time through I’m definitely gonna print out the sheets and record my weights. Eliminate any guess work

Good to know for this afternoon.

I think I am really going to like this month. I need a break from bar and hopefully it will be easier to do my workouts since the squat rack hogging douche won't be in my way.

W1D1 DB Strength

Great workout tonight. I loved all the DB work.

I nixed the cardio bc I didn’t want to hurt my shoulder anymore. Had to go super light on some of the things but it felt good.

W1D1 Strongville. Squats were rough since I haven’t done them in a while. Everything else felt great.

Just finished Strongville last week and my squats today were a breeze.

What are you running this month?

I’m hoping strongville will restore some balance to my main lifts. Bench feels great, but squats and deadlifts have been neglected.

I'm not the best person to answer this, but Young Grasshopper is the program I started with. Thats the one most people recommend for beginners. However if you've been lifting already, I'd wait for recommendations from other more experienced people on the forum. It was my first time using free weights and it was a good introduction program. It's 8 weeks long. First 4 weeks are 3 workouts per week and last 4 weeks are 4 workouts per week. Focuses on squat, bench, and deadlift with several other lifts thrown in (skullcrushers, over head press, curls, etc).

W1D2 of Jacked Up Joker

Workout took a while today. Full 90 minutes when I forced myself to take 120 and 90 second breaks between the sets. I probably looked anxious as hell pacing the gym to avoid just standing still for 2 minutes each set.

You weren't joking about those 10x10s. The SS Curls today took a toll on me towards the last few sets.

Squatober was my first and it was fun as hell. I already had a solid idea of what my training maxes were though.

Pool Season, Strongville is very balanced and you will squat and deadlift a bunch on that program.

I think I'm going with the Presidents Day Strength plan from the Facebook page for tomorrow.

Maybe go a little lighter on the weights since it’s a rest day.
