Opinions on creatine cycling

I've heard of people going a month or two at a time and then going off creatine.
I was reading an article earlier today that suggested that it should really be done in a more short term. One week on and one week off type of thing.
Any conclusive research on this or is it just bro science?

Cycle creatine? I only take it on training days, but I haven’t cycled use before.

I take it daily. No cycling.

I've also seen some people say you should take on non training days.
I don't know what to believe anymore!

Are you looking for general health or athletic benefits?
Athletically, there hasn't been a study that notes a reduced effect over time.
General health, without an underlying kidney issue, it has not been shown to have an effect to cycle. There is a limit because there are not a ton of long term studies. The benefit is the same as just keeping protein intake down when there's a kidney issue.

I take it post workout in a protein shake on training days, and before bed on non-training days.

Back in the 90’s loading was recommended
Now a days just 5-10 grams
Cycling is not needed

You don't need to load but it gets in quicker. I'm talking monohydrate.
