Good deal. Hit me up if you ever want to run. I'm just east of Auburn.

Same, but I'm sticking to weekend trails through July. I'll swap to roads after that when I start focusing on the Yeti 100 (It's on crushed limestone rails-to -trails). Will likely run some Saturdays with the AORTA run group in Auburn.

Half race day Sunday!

Been a weird week training wise due to multiple track meets i had to coach this week but still feeling good.

Goal is to get through the 10 mile in 58-59 minutes and then see whats left in the tank for a kick the last three miles.

opened the first 5-6 miles like an idiot and paid dearly for it at the end of the race. Still happy overall with it.

Good stuff, congratulations! And i saw your thread on the OT, even bigger congrats for that. Let me know how balancing new dad duties and running works; the wife and I have been discussing that as we get ready to try for our first.

Nice work! Matched my min/mile pace. Well, if I were only running 1 mile.

Once they are big enough for the running stroller ~8-10 months to a year, you will be able to go. Even before then, they nap so much you will be able to fit runs in

You won't get the credit you deserve for taking the kid for a couple hours but it is a great way to give your wife a break while you also get a work out in.

i had basically stopped running and only did the peloton until this past December, now i am back to running 3/4 days a week. All with the stroller. As long as i got enough snack my daughter will chill all day in it.

Even before they learned to read I gave picture books to my kids when I took them for a run in the jogging stroller. That and the scenery flying by kept them occupied.

Doing my first time-based event Saturday. 6 hours on a 2.5 mile trail loop. Goal is 13 loops to cover a 50k (plus change).

BoCam;

small advice on this type of race. 2.5 mile loop isn't very long which means you pass by the aid station / your car a lot. don't stop every loop as the time adds quickly. next thing you know you stopped for 10 minutes a loop and you've add an extra hour to you day. you're use to carrying enough fuel/fluid for longer distances.
Go get it!

This was my general plan going in. I had to abandon it 3hrs in when Temps got in the 80s. Still got in 13 laps/32.7 miles.

Been dealing with sinus shite this week so didn’t get as many weekly miles in but dropped 20 today at 6:41 pace (2:13:37). Think I’m in a good spot for the full. Gonna do one more 20er next week (might hit 21 just to up my furthest run badge one more time) then going to start easing off.

Quick brag for my GF. She ran Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 on saturday. Finished 3rd female and 28th overall (209 started), 26:44 overall time.
I crewed during the day and paced from mile 65 to the finish. Aid station at mile 97 told her the 3rd place female was 5 minutes ahead. We ran her down and put 5 more minutes on her. she didn't want any that smoke. we were running 8:30's to make it happen.

in case you are looking for a trail race - LINK . Rocky AF trails and 18k of gain.
