W3D4 done

Very solid day. Again the low BP weight caught me by suprise. I think it's fatigue from BP being the 5th lift of the day. The pullovers are getting heavy, but feel great at the same time.

Back from vacation and picked up where I left off. W2D3 done today. Sweat fest this morning and it’s going to get worse through this week. Lifts felt good, but took a while to stop sweating even after a cool shower.

Last week!

W4D1 done!

Today felt good and pretty taxing. Deadlifts were probably the easiest lift today; not sure if that's because they were first or what. Still enjoying and improving on the RFESS sets. I had to move OHP to last due to the rack being tied up. Doing the BB Curl and OH extension SS beforehand made the OHP ROUGH. I got thru it, but had to drop 5 lbs/set.

Completely unrelated, but wanted to post this. Last night my 9yo daughter (58 lb) surprised me by being able to pull me off the couch when I wasn't fully expecting it. She put her feet up against the couch, wrapped her arms around my ankles, and did a leg press into the couch to pull me off. I haven't weighted in a week or so, but I'm ~230 clothed currently. I was shocked as hell that she was able to pull me. She currently does 17 hrs/wk of gymnastics and conditioning. Maybe her gym subscribes to El Gaucho's Super Squats?!?

D2 - Big chest pump.

I think I’m doing those pullovers with better form to work the chest. Man they were burning. Last round of thrusters but I’m gonna add those onto my Wednesday routine going forward.

W4D1 with a hellacious hangover after way too much celebration last night. I think I overdid the preworkout too, so now I’m exhausted, sweaty, heart hammering away, and still kinda hungover. Ah well got it all done.

W4D2 done

I've been drained lately. I think it's from too much travel causing me to get out of my routine in addition to bad eating and not enough water intake. Took the day off yesterday to rest and got back to it this morning.

I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of these programs now that I'm 6 months in. Most lifts have gotten to the point where the weight/rep scheme is right on the border of too much. Today, everything was solid. I did fail at 11 reps on the 3rd set of DB pullovers, but I've been pushing that weight a little aggressive lately. It was also nice to get some compliments on my squat form.

I am ready for Peachy to be over though. This just isn't my favorite plan at all. I want something more streamlined and upper body focused. 7 lifts (4 back side, 2 upper, and cardio) are just taking too much time when adding the recommended rest and not super setting. I think I'm going to go with something similar to Jacked Up Joker (3 lifts + cardio) or Pool Season 2 (3-4 lifts + cardio) next. Those were much quicker workouts and still allowed me a little time for true cardio.

Benchamin Franklin 2 comes out this week. It’ll be upper body focused I assume with a lot of variation in bench press rep/weight. It’s also going to be flexible so you can run it 4,5, or 6 days a week if you want ;)

I wonder if I wouldn’t have liked this program more if the press and arm superset was first half the days? I feel like I’m gassed by the time I get to the upper body work and don’t enjoy what are usually my favorite lifts

I'm cheeked up. We need to run something less arse focused so I don't need to go buy new shorts.

I may have to sit out next month. My gym will (tentatively) be closed 7/1 - 7/15. It's moving to a new (BIGGER) location about a half mile away. All I have at home is some light DBs, several resistance bands, and some sandbags so workout options will be limited. Also I'll be traveling for a week during that time. Based on some pics of the resort, I will have access to a decent gym for the first half of the trip but severely limited the 2nd half. I'm not going to vote for next month since I can't commit to run the plan.

Absolutely 1000% this!!! I went shopping yesterday for some new shorts as all mine have gotten too big. Waist was fine, but I had to go a size higher than I wanted to due to my arse.

Hoping to continue this for a while, atleast through december, maybe longer if they can. will miss ppsa and we may throw some in starting next year but really need to stick to this to spend time with my boys and to really get them on a progression and not so much chaos.

I'll be missing a couple of weeks also so I'd rather do something I've already done before. Arm Farm sounds good to me. Although I have enjoyed not doing Zottmans lately.

This morning I retweaked the same groin that I injured about two months ago. This time I stopped the set instead of trying to push through. I guess we do learn eventually, lol! Peachy has been pretty damn high volume on the lower body. I purchased Hoodie 2 this morning, so I’m going to start that tomorrow. I need something low volume on the legs because I known groin injuries can hang around a long time if you push it too soon. Bench x2, squat x1, deadlift x1, snatch grip DL x1 per week. Going to sub back squat to SSB box squats and DL to block pulls though. I’ll probably even sub snatch grip DL to high handle trap bar until I feel 100%.

I agree completely. Since week 1 I noticed I felt much weaker by the time we got to bench. Seeing the %'s and reps listed, it should've been easy. However, not getting to it until the 5th lift definitely wasn't optimal and typically left me not wanting more that session.

W4D3 down

Decent day, nothing super special or negative to say. Bumped up the weight on the RFESS and wide goblet squats sets. I really enjoy both of these and will probably add them into whatever I do next. Looking forward to finishing strong tomorrow.

Not in a great mood this morning and trying to figure out the best was to complete W4D4. My gym is moving locations and was supposed to be closed 7/1 - 7/15. I was excited to finish out Peachy this morning (since they are closing tomorrow). Well got to the gym 5am today and found out they closed it early and already removed the equipment.

I'm trying to find adequate subs and weight comparisons to get this finished.

I have enough resistance bands to combine for both squat and bench. Pushups are body weight. I have dumbbells for hammer curls. For pullovers, I can manage to find something the correct weight (sand bag, rock, kid, something). DB RDLs will be an issue as I dont think I have 2 items heavy enough. May need to see about using 1 really heavy item and treating it similar to a BB RDL. For lunges, I may have to go a little lighter or combine dumbbells some how with a strap.

My main question is trying to sub resistance band movements for the real thing:
squat vs band squat
bench press vs standing chest press
bent row vs anchored bent row

Thoughts or advice?

One of my worst days ever was finding out my gun was closed just after taking my pre workout.

Bands are going to have a different resistance curve through the ROM compared to free weights. Might be a little harder to plan for progressive overload, but if that's what you have to work with then it's definitely better than nothing. You can try to incorporate tempo and isometrics with the bands to help progress.
