I developed my own diet that I can stick with that feels healthy to me. I eat mainly fish, chicken, eggs, non-starchy vegetables, olives, avocados, and yogurt. Occasionally I’ll eat beef, pork, nuts and berries. I try to keep carbs low, and I usually just eat in the evenings. But I don’t freak out about food and if I’m invited to a meal where something like pasta is being served I’ll eat some, its just not something I have in my normal rotation.

I know sugar is bad and high fructose corn syrup is even worse. I’m also pretty convinced that seed oils are the hidden unhealthy food that most people are totally unaware of.

I’m a big proponent of adding a healthy portion of vegetables to your meals.

Why?

I hate on keto a lot because people have perverted it into an “eat all the cheese and greasy meat you want as long as it’s not carbs” diet.

Likewise, I hate on plant-based, vegan and vegetarian a lot because those people have perverted diets into “all plants good and very good for you, meat is bad, eat none or very little”.

Because they are low calorie dense foods that keep you full. Combined with lean meat it’s the easiest way to eat at a moderate to high calorie deficit without feeling hungry

I don't think meat is bad for you or that "all plants good and very good"( ). I ate paleo (mostly fish and red meat) for a long time and had great success with that before becoming fully plant based.

Some people do better on a plant-based diet than others largely due to how well their body converts ALA fatty acids into DHA and EPA. I'm a "super-converter" so my body does well but most people aren't and should consume meat.

That the Mediterranean diet doesn’t uphold white supremacy. Apparently I was wrong
