I think it's a good idea. Child obesity is not a good thing and we do not need to contribute. Can't control crap kids eat at home. But every little bit helps.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think "school lunches" are possibly the biggest abomination in spreading the SAD.

Why does any kid need donuts and muffins before school? If taxpayers are paying for it, it should be healthy foods every day.

Next step is to start eliminating sugar/trash from food stamp eligibility and other tax funded food sources. Stop using tax dollars to make everyone fat and further destroy our hospital system, health insurance system, etc.

The official government guidelines prescribe garbage as healthful while simultaneously demonizing the single most healthful food (red meat). So, I wouldn't hold my breath.

As if people would be somehow "deficient" if they just ate a regular diet absent of added sugars.

I’m a teacher. School meals are heavy calories and massive amounts of carbs. It’s terrible
