I had a prolonged elevated heart rate following a stress test. Need to track exercise, heart rate recovery time. I've never worn one of these. Here's what I'd like it to do.

1.) Doesn't NEED to connect to phone for texts, calls etc. Samsung phone if it does.

2.) Want to track exercise time/heart rate and when I click a button, it knows I've stopped exercising and monitors heart rate recovery time. I need to delineate the exercise end/recovery start times. Mainly jogging, but could extend to various forms of cardio.

3.) I'd like info from (2) to be stored, tracked so that I can go back to monitor improvements, trends etc.

4.) Anything else that some here may believe to be helpful with what I've laid out.

Thanks in advance.

This may be more advanced than you need but I’ve had a Garmin Venu 2 Plus for a couple months and it does all this stuff

Check out the Fitbit Charge 5.
The app will do tons of that stuff but you can also log into the Fitbit website and it breaks it all down in crazy detail.

Fourth Frontier. Does EKG, HR Variability and a lot of other stuff. Can synced to your garmin or apple watch too.

I have a polar chest monitor that does all of that type of stuff. I use it in combination with my Apple Watch. The Apple Watch connects to the chest strap is essentially just the display.

I have a the Suunto 5 that does that. If you want something simple take a look at the Whoop, but it is a subscription service.
