Hey guys, ive had some sharp lower back pains in the past week, both after the gym and when i wake up.
I need to work on my squat form to see if im bending too much, but in the meantime while my back settles down, what can i do in place of squats that will achieve similar results?

Some yoga to stretch out the lower back.. and some icy hot type heating patches to loosen the area up

Good recommendations. I'd add hanging from a pullup bar for 30 seconds. A little bit of spinal decompression after exercises that load the spine is a good thing.

Get a good leg stretch in.
I had lower back problems for a year and finally figured out that I had a muscle knot in my arse. I ironed that out with a lacrosse ball and my back problems were completely gone.

If the pain doesn’t go away after a couple of weeks of stretching and rest, go see a doctor.
