Good question. If its not an issue requiring medical treatment the answer is usually yoga and/or mobility work + strengthening the core + deadlifts.

Soreness, and the occasional sharp shooting pain.

Could be as simple as posture and you needing to strengthen your back.

So far I've found that stretching and yoga help the best.

I have chirp wheels and like them, but I feel like they’re more suited for mid/upper issues. It’s kind of difficult to balance on them for lower back.

I have something similar to the back hero. I use it when I get really stiff in my lower back. Takes it a couple days but it seems to work it out.

strengthening the core + deadlifts.
I was doing this 10 days ago, and someone dropped a weight mid exercise, causing me to look over and destroy my form. I have never strained my lower back before, and my god it hurt.

Things I have found to help:
Chiropractor's decompression table.
Mobility/Yoga type movements.
Strong Core.
TENS Unit.
Massage/Massage Gun.
Hanging from a bar a few times per week (gravity)
Cryotherapy/Ice baths.

lot of bad advice in here. go see a PT.

When I started doing yoga daily for an hour it eliminated the chiropractor visits for my constant back issues. I didn’t give a damn what I looked like, I just went & did it. Before class I’d ask the instructor to do lower back stretches. If you have access to a hot yoga studio try that out. Stretch your IT bands & hips daily. Hope you feel better, back pain is a SOB.

You could also have glute amnesia.

Very easy to respond to every health question with "go see a doctor/PT". Back trouble is nothing to be taking lightly.
YES. Always get checked out if something is not right. Having said that, the man was asking for advice, and there are several effective strategies to help in that area that can be done on your own to try to manage your symptoms.

Chiropractor actually takes a little time. I used to not believe it was not helpful, but I went to treatment for 4 weeks and noticed a big improvement.
Just my way opinion.

And I’m saying, as a PT, don’t follow the majority of advice provided on this site. That’s my advice.
