I was usin keto to lose weight and burn fat, but I was considerably weaker in the gym. Now I just do IF and OMAD to keep my weight and body fat down, plus eating carbs again has shot my lifts back to to normal. I see no problem with alternating my diet throughout the year, but, for the sake of convenience, keto is just that much more of a hassle.

You sound like an average person looking up.

A 3x body weight squat is beyond belief? He was 210lbs when he set that
It's not beyond belief, but it is a world record for a weight class in the IPF.
Any time you're at that record setting level, the suspicion kicks in. I'm not saying it's impossible...just that it is very elite and you never know at that level.

I include this in my definition of a ketogenic "diet," unless one is just scarfing carbs.
My keto blood test registered a .7 last night, after about 22-hr fast, and I definitely have been eating more carbs than hardcore keto people and have been too busy w work (and bum ankle thingy) to move around a whole lot (I'm usually near 2.0 after long slow workouts).
OMAD, occasional longer fasts and just making effort to get a lot of good fats and avoiding grains and any added sugars for the most part is usually sufficient for basic keto purposes, imo. The crazy therapeutic levels take more but that's another story.
