It's amazing how many downvotes your post got. It is going to take awhile for people to get it.

You are correct:

Broccoli and kale often has more vitamin c than a lot of fruits. Vitamin C is surely not being referenced as a micro nutrient.

The pancakes and bananas not so much. There are better potassium sources than bananas (e.g.s, avocado and Brazil nuts. salmon). And they are sugar bombs. The idea that just because a fruit gross in the world we should all eat a bunch of it is absurd.
Bananas are actually probably the worst for you (quite possibly the world's perfect food!). As I'm sure you are alluding to "growing" in the world, is sort of a false concept. Very few of the fruits people are eating came about in any kind of natural context. Rather, they were engineered for maximum sugar content. A good example is Russet potatoes vs heirloom potatoes. One is an engineered, massive, pure-white bomb of carbs with very little micronutrient value. The other are irregular and small with relatively high nutrient density. As much as someone just wants it to be true that giving kids apples and bananas in abundance is good for them, it just isn't.

Just a bump on the e-boasting. Kid ran a 25:40 5k this weekend. Not quite 8 minute miles but I’ll let it slide.

Yea, i don’t get doubting a sub-8 mile for an 8 year old. You could probably pluck 3 - 5 8 year olds out of every elementary school who could do that.

I knew some kids running below 6 just a couple of years older than that when I was that age.

Absolutely. He won the 9 and under division. I’d say he’s above average, but just that.

A 10 year old kid ran a 21 and got top 10 in the whole race. I’d call that well above average and something to be impressed with.
