It’s not no carb so you can still perform quite
You don’t need carbs to ‘perform’ or ‘recover’ or ‘grow’ or any other word you can think of. You need carbs or fats. The whole point of a ketogenic diet is to use fats for energy not carbs hence why some go as low as 15 or 20 grams a day or even zero grams of carbs because they are getting their energy from fats. Some people work better using fats instead of carbs there is no right or wrong answer as everyone is different you only need one or the other not both.

I’m saying this kindly because I don’t feel like getting in a pissing match….
You have no fricking idea what you’re talking about.

It is a fact you need carbs or fats for energy but not both. There is nothing to argue over. You need one or the other.
This is why you can't take people on this forum seriously they don't have a god damn clue about actual diet and training.

Congrats on passing Metabolism 101. Time for you to start studying Exercise Performance.

Fats do this just as well as carbs hence why you only need one or the other. I might get 10 grams of carbs in a whole week. How am I able to 'perform' in the gym 6 days a week? How am I able to get out of bed according to you? Lets take this a step further - in your mind what would 'prove' to you who knows what they are talking about between the two of us? You brought up Performance would it be actual lifts? Lifts for reps? Pics? Video evidence of lifts? Competition history? What? You do not need carbs, You do not need fats. You need enough of one or the other. This is basic level shite.

Because you don't need both. After years and years and years of doing this I have figured out that for myself my body responds better to using fats as a fuel source for performance. In my younger years I used carbs which was a mistake. Fats are the most energy-efficient form and most concentrated source of energy in the body. Plenty of people use fats instead of carbs for an energy source I am not alone in this. It is just personal preference. What you like and what works for you might not work for me. You have to experiment and find out what your body likes and responds to this goes with anything be it training method/style, supplementation, foods, etc. We are not all the same. However, anyone who tells you that you must have carbohydrates to perform, grow, repair, or succeed in strength or resistance training doesn't know a god damn thing.
I think part of this is two fold - people get scared when they hear the word 'fat' or 'fats'. People are not scared of the word 'carbohydrate' (nor should they be) also I have found that most people who try to switch from carbs to fats simply do not get enough of the fats required like they do carbs. For some reason it is easier for people to get in more carbohydrates than fats and there are reason(s) for this but it is a completely different topic.
You do not need both. This does not mean I am saying not to eat both or to use fats over carbs. You have to use yourself as a test rat and find out what works best for you.

potatoes, white rice... best for satiety of any carb source.
More than brown rice and sweet potatoes?
Also is it worth throwing in beans or some other amino acid source to make a complete protein (with the rice)?

I don’t like brown rice, hard to digest, cooks like shite and has traces of stuff I don’t like
Sweet potatoes are up there with regular potatoes
You can throw beans in if you like then but wouldn’t count them as protein.
