Best gym? No. Most of the equipment is old and rusted. The powerlifting area only has like 4 squat racks, it isn’t big or nice enough for the size of that place

Everything is way too cramped. Give me a spacious globogym with 20 squat racks and deadlift platforms over that garbage

I think Red’s gym was the origin of the “weightlifting stunts your growth” fallacy. Not too many folks over 6’ there. Then I went out to Mako’s/Pete’s/Shanahan’s back in the day, and realized 90% of Lafayette folks are 5’10” or below.

Some years ago, i would have said yes because the available Olympic/powerlifting gyms were pretty slim

But now, im gonna be honest, crunch fitness has it figured out. Doesn’t matter your style of lifting or cardio, they have it.

Absolutely terrible. Music is so loud I can’t hear my own headphones and it’s jammed packed with college and high school kids

Red’s great. Yes it gets crowded but if you hit the timing right, you will get an awesome pump due to the plethora of equipment.

BR dudes get butthurt that Laffy has a better gym than them.
