Got a buddy that says you can do tricep workouts everyday and that there’s no rest needed for your triceps. Anybody heard this?

If you're really a REAL ONE, you would ONLY workout arms and chest. Every day. The rest of that shite is for pussies.

Bro science is just that, my guy. "Science". There are millions of folks out there experimenting every day.

First of all, tricep work is almost 100% press. Americans press too much, anyway, and for balance you want 2 to 3 pulls for every press (at least IMHO). So, that's right out of the gate.

Second - now the research is constantly evolving, but just over the years they've found 2 groups/subgroups that can benefit from work (now - you'll have to define this, too, all muscles can be overworked and the joint is likely to have problems first, so there's that as well) on a (relatively) daily schedule, so assume ~5 or even 6 days per week: core/abs and calves

So, having those 2 bits of knowledge and also knowing that if you are pressing for chest and shoulders, you almost don't need much specialized tricep work at all. If you choose to do so, then 1 or 2 days per week including tricep work is more than sufficient and more than that will likely be counterproductive.

As a final note, I probably had as good tricep development as a person below competitive bodybuilding standards would be expected to for about 2 years. I did a full tricep workout 2 times per week.

YMMV and be safe out there. Nutrition is equally important to your development as your routine and often ignored by gym bros.
