Absolutely. There are a lot of push up variations that can work your chest from many angles. You will be limited at some point, but there are a lot of people who do nothing but bodyweight exercises and look great. The gym is awesome, but not absolutely necessary if access is limited.

Line up two benches in front of dumbbell rack. Place both feet on rack and get in pushup position on benches

Then do pushups.

My thoughts. Hypertrophy occurs when a muscle is worked to failure, or near failure, and then given time to recover. Studies show light weights work as well as heavy. The point is, the muscle doesn’t know what’s making it work.

I'm doing this but doing 50 per hour. I'm definitely feeling it.
