Why did you stop working out? That would burn a lot more calories, just being more active..

Fad.

The CrossFit of “diets”

It’s just an effective way to control caloric intake, and has the added benefit of helping some metabolic issues by controlling insulin spikes. It’s also the oldest diet plan known to man, so it’s unlikely a fad

I’m talking about Americans fasting. I realize the history of it and I’m just busting balls. But unless you’re a Buddhist monk living in Tibet the shite still doesn’t make sense as a sustainable long term lifestyle. But to each their own.

Are Americans physiologically different than other humans?

Yeah I’m worried about what someone thinks about my jokes. Or my thoughts on fasting. You’re a fricking loser dude. But keep trying to become some sort of czar on this board. It will work out one day. People love your posts. They just down vote you constantly because they’re jelly of your gainz.

I honestly don't understand this fasting craze. Sounds miserable.

Just burn more calories than you consume. Find a diet you can stick with for an extended period of time. The weight will come off. Include weight training to incorporate lean muscle into this and you'll get lean and have muscle definition which makes you look leaner than the scale anyways.

I'm not trying to sound like a know it all, I'm just trying to give you some confidence that it's not about being miserable and hitting some arbitrary number on a scale. It's a commitment to a lifestyle that will keep you happy and fulfilled for the long term.

If you can't find a balance that will allow you to do it and be happy, you'll just fall off and get frustrated. That's dieting in a nutshell. Diets are temporary. Lifestyles are permanent.

Even Eddie Murphy can't come up with material like this.

Not trying to be a dick but it sounds like you have some misconceptions about fasting. I do two days once a month and a week a couple times a year. I just don't eat while continuing to live my life. No airfare to Tibet needed.
