You're recommending running on full incline

Incline that bitch all the way. Start at 6mph. Run for 10-20 seconds, put your feet to the sides to rest for 30 seconds. Bump speed up .5mph. Keep bumping the speed by .5 after every rest.

Do this 10-20 times. It'll make a man outta you.

I mean just focus on a mile for now until you're comfortable with it and then build up. The more you add the better your mile is gonna get.

1/2 mile on 6.0. Walk 1 minute on 3.0. Two minutes straight on 7.0. Walk 1 minute on 3.0. Two minutes straight on 7.5. Walk 1 minute on 3.0. 8.0 for 30 seconds, 8.5 for 30 seconds. Walk 30 seconds on 3.0. 8.5 for 30 seconds, 9.0 for 30 seconds. Walk 30 seconds on 3.0. 9.5 for 30 seconds, 10.0 for 30 seconds. Walk 30 seconds on 3.0...Repeat x1. (You should end up at about 2 miles after 1 cycle and should be around the 20-21 minute mark.)

All on 1.5 incline.

Distance running is a waste for most. Incorporate sprints into your running and shed a lot more weight a lot faster, while toning also.

Or this. I prefer the treadmill because I'm already at the gym, and I can better control the speed and distance on the treadmill.

I used to do that when I was 15, ran 30 minutes on full incline. Now I can't run flat

I stick with intervals and just track what I do. My goal is to always improve on each workout. Even if it's just marginally bc it will add up.

That could mean the same workout with one notch steeper on incline. Or 5 seconds shorter rest periods. Or a tiny bit faster. Or same workout, but just one more interval.

If you track it accurately, at the end of the month you will see gains across the board and will be very rewarding. So, always be improving is my motto. Works for me.

You really get no benefits from inclining a treadmill if you have to grab something.
