Always thought my squat sucked in relation to my dead and bench.

Never had joint issues. Did tear my right hamstring multiple times but none of those were during lifting.

Insofar as looking good vs being a powerlifter, it’s possible to do both. Aside from one really dumb and uninformed dirty bulk, I maintained what would be considered an attractive physique to most females.

Most powerlifters I know are pretty damn lean.

If you want to win anything you have to be. Overalls typically deal with % over body weight.

I’m doing a cut now. Hoping it goes smoothly.

Best of luck, I’m sure you already have all kinds of good advice from this board already. How are you going about your cut? I’m just getting started on mine, going to try and slowly make my way near 10% by September. Haven’t challenged myself this way in a few years and all the fatties on the OT have me motivated to move as far away from that category as possible.

I’m just going to be strict about my calorie and macro intake. Also changing my program to have a slight lean towards volume as opposed to pushing singles, doubles and triples in hopes that my CNS can recover. I don’t really have a percentage goal, but I know I should be lighter than I am now. I have a lot more body fat than I should, so I’m hoping some of it comes off quickly.

My only suggestion is to drop the calories in increments milking every bit of weight loss you can out of each level. I’ve considered trying out clen when I hit a plateau this go round.

Very little direct work. The compound movements seem to work them enough. I'll do a few sets of curls or pullups once in a while if I feel like it, and I guess my rowing works them some.

Yeah. We had a bunch train over at my gym the last year or so. Most of them were lean. One guy with an 800 lb pull was pretty ripped.

I work em out once a week. I do my tris with my shoulder workout because only one shoulder lift that I do requires my tris to not be exhausted, so I do that exercise first. I work my bis on leg day, because I always want to skip leg day, but if I do, then I know I'll be skipping bis as well, which gives me a little more motivation to workout legs.
