Albasha chicken shawarma salad... as it comes with dressing

Online says 400 calories, but it’s gotta be more than that, because I’m stuffed after I eat it. I hope 400 is about right, but my gut tells me it’s not

Any rough estimates? I’m trying to stay under 1500 calories per day.

ETA: overall diet/exercise progress: started at 235 lbs in April, last weigh-in was 208 lbs, will probably be at or around 200 this weekend

There’s at least 400 calories in just the meat.

I usually log 6oz of chicken shawarma meat, 6cups of romaine, 300 cals of some sort of greek dressing, and one ounce of feta. Should be around 700 calories. When in doubt, overestimate

Nah the chicken shawarma is lean. 250ish.

Guess it could be. They really pile the meat on at Albasha’s though.

This is how you do it. You can get a good guess on about everything if you can learn a few foods and their calories.

Lean meat - ~40 cal/ounce
Fatty meat - ~80 cal/ounce
bread - ~100 per slice
oil - ~130 cal/tbsp
egg - 70 cal/lg egg
vegetable - ~5 for most and ~20 cal for fibrous

I'd even go as far as upping each one to the nearest 50. Doesn't hurt to overestimate.

Excellent, thank you...I’ve been logging 600 but will up it to 700 or 750

Agreed.

I use 6oz when i eat their salad and it doesn't seem to negatively impact me. If you want to go even more conservative, log 8oz.

Last time I ordered it from Albasha in Hammond, I got it to go. When I got home I weighed just the chicken. It was 6.6 oz that particular time, FWIW.

Also, get the dressing on the side. I use maybe half of what they give me, but sometimes I don't even use any. The chicken is seasoned so well that dressing isn't a must for me.
