Yall aren't joking about the kids! I only have 2. Couldn't imagine having more with the schedule we already have. One has gymnastics M, W, F, and Sa. The other has volleyball T, Th, F, and Su. Since I don't have a home gym, I've had to get up at 3:30-4:30 several days to get my workout in. Only way to get it in and get back home to get ready for a gym meet or a volleyball tournament. Glad both of those seasons just wrapped up.

yea we are like that with 3 boys.

oldest is 12- plays MS football, MS basketball, MS track, little league baseball

middle is 10- plays travel baseball on a majors team so unfortunaltly means travel around the state, plays football

youngest is 7- plays travel baseball(local mainly), basketball, football. chose football and baseball over soccer cause i told him we couldnt do 2 sports at the same time essentially just practicing and never making games.

its exhausting and the reason why i tell many, essentially once you reach the age where kids are involved in stuff(really as infants too) you lose the ability to get to the gym most of the time. its why a home gym of some sort becomes so important even if its DBs and doing P90x or even a set of rings and a sandbag. becomes almost the only way.

and because we want bang for the buck, lifting of some form becomes the major priorty or should for 99% of people.

Next year will be fun.

Recreational dance for the 2 girls Wed/Thurs. Oldest will have HS dance practice Tues-Thurs. Middle will have JrH dance practice Tuesday/Thursday.

Son is playing travel ball and soccer. Soccer practice is on Tuesday/Thursday. Baseball on Wednesday/Thursday.

Luckily this spring hasn't been too bad because it's just recreational dance for the girls and soccer/travel ball for my son.

We going to BR this weekend to play.

Y’all are going to miss it when it’s gone….I enjoy more time but I miss watching my kids compete

W2D1 done, man that was a lot of volume. I had to cut back on the sets for the last SS and cardio

Well this fall we made all the soccer games bc there were no tournaments. This spring he’s missed at least half the soccer games. Some Saturdays we play soccer then take off to Hammond or wherever they are playing.

We are 7u also. One more year of coach pitch. Everyone says 8u is the best year of baseball.

Is anyone else more sore than usual today? I’m still feeling tri’s from Monday and now upper back from yesterday. I don’t know if it’s me or just the workouts.

My legs and glutes were sore all weekend from squat day last week.

Chest, shoulders, and tri’s are a little sore from W2D1 yesterday.

I don’t recall getting sore like this from PS1. PS2 is definitely a step up in intensity, which I like

champion, dont recommend but not a lot of choices at 7u. 8u has way more usually. I do recommend getting them into travel at 7u though if and its an if they love the game. as in they like to go hit or work on something almost every day. if not, wait. its a lot of work to be good but they make tons more progress than if you stay in slcLL.

i have my oldest in ll, his last year and baseball is his 3rd sport.

middle kid plays for team LA SW, which is an awesome org and his team is pretty good. struggle against some of the better teams in the state but overall they are damn good, outside of storm black in lafayette they are best in SLA east of BR.

my suggestion is try out for all the teams. you can expect cost to be anywhere from 1000 to 2200 depending on org, if its paid coach etc.

best orgs around here are

team LA Sw
titans
mustangs
champion
reign

everything depends on the coach though, everythign. good luck, email me if you need more advice. should see postings for try outs come out starting in june with tryouts in early july.

PS2 definitely feels more intense than PS1. Absolutely NO issues falling asleep at night! I'm still doing Oak Tree on the side (I can't stand to have things incomplete). Goal is finish Oak Tree by 5/20 (4 days left) and PS2 on 5/26 (10 days left).

Heading out of town on vacation 5/27. No access to a gym where I'm going. I'll bring my resistance bands to get a little work in, but will try to take it easy also.

W2D2 done, deadlifts felt good but I was spent after the snatch grip SS. Only did 2 sets of pullovers and shrugs.

I did all the cardio curls.

W2D3 done

I am spent after this one. Everything completed and all reps hit, but it was rough. Wall sits were the easiest portion by far.

Yeah, I was looking at it last night and it looks like a bruiser. I've been worn out all week. Finally got a solid 8 hrs last night so we'll see if that helps.
