Gymnastic Rings

So I see alot of y'all asking about different things like bands, or talking about using small dumbbells etc
STOP!!!!
Those are decent tools but you will get so much more out of a set of gymnastic rings. Suspension straps are great, but rings are better as the seperated hang point is better for most exercises.
The ones a recommend are the ones from christian fitness factory
LINK
I like these because of the numbered straps and they are wooden. Fell free to post up if you find some cheaper with numbered straps and wooden and are on stock.
Rings allow the following
Chest- pushups, flyes, dips
Back- rows, chins, shoulder Y's, inverted shrugs, muscle ups or simulated muscle ups
Shoulders- Y's, facepulls, rotation, handstand pushups
Arms- besides obvious compound movements, ring curls, overhead extensions
Plus you get all of the static holds which are hard as frick and can really blow up your arms especially the bicep due to putting a ton of stress on them while they are in the stretched position.
If you get a good set of rings and a weighted vest that can go to 80lbs....well you are set as you don't need anything more.
Combine this with abs and bodyweight leg movements and you will not be sorry.
On how to hang it, if you don't have anything solid you can hang from nor a good tree branch you can do one of the following
Use an eye screw directly into the stud. I suggest using a small drill bit and drilling a small pilot hole. This will cost less than $5 and are similar to this:

Or the better option is to use brackets specifically designed for rings and exercise equipment

If you use just the eye hooks and use a couple good rock climbing caribeeners it will provider easier adjustment.

I've been following Body by Rings from your post in the home work out thread. I'm loving it. My shoulders and tri's haven't felt like this in a while. Once I get the stability down I'm excited to see how far I'll be able to go.

That is a very good program. And the stability you get from training with rings will pay huge dividends later when you go back to training with weights.
And using leverage to make the exercises harder and using weighted versions can allow you to build lots of strength and muscle.

Daniel Vadnal is a good teacher. Very thorough. Just remember if you want to progress with rings, accessory work is essential.

Dominik Sky is a great guy to follow on social media. He always has different types of progressions which can make the routines more challenging. I also enjoy his accessory work.

Gymnastic rings are the best. Need to find a way to hang some at my place.

Do you know if there is a new IF calorie Calculator? Just noticed it's gone from 1percentedge.
ETA: just ordered a set of rings from the link you posted since amazon is backed up.

I've converted two of the other regulars at my apartment gym to the rings too. We're loving them. I'm trying to loosely follow body by rings, but I'm having a lot of trouble with the pelican curl and ring rollout. I'm not sure if I have the shoulder flexibility to correctly perform the pelican curl, or perhaps it's just that my biceps aren't strong enough yet. Any advice here? The ring rollouts I'm clearly not doing correctly because I'm feeling strain in my back and nothing in my abs. I think I may just do them on the ab wheel instead.

I ordered the 1.25” with numbered straps from REP fitness LINK . Seemed like a really good price when I ordered them.
