gym flooring for on top of luxury vinyl plank flooring?

I have a basement gym that is in a room with pretty new LVP installed (it floats on the concrete floor). I currently have a ton of those interlocking EVA foam mats down, and they get jacked up under my rack whenever it moves due to banging weights to finish heavy sets of squats or bench. They also get dented from equipment sitting on them or even dbs resting and they haven't held up super well overall. I also notice them giving a bit when I squat heavy.
So I was going to upgrade my flooring but I have heard that horse stall mats can stain the floor you put them on, and that LVP is especially bad about getting stained this way. So does anyone have another recommendation? Are there interlocking mats that actually are good quality or are they all junk?

Maybe use some moisture barrier between LVP and whatever you decide to use?

I've heard the same, the horse stall mats have an oil in them that will stain your LVP. I recently put some laminate flooring in my home gym and bought a cheap 8'x10' area rug from Costco (I think it was around $100) to use a barrier between the laminate flooring and the horse mats.
