Gout in my heel

I have gout in my left heel and it hurts like hell. I take allopurinol daily but still manage to get it about once a year. Any suggestions for pain?

I find that my gout will flare up if I get dehydrated. So make sure to drink plenty of water.

This unlikely gout- much more likely to be inflammation where the Achilles attaches to the “heel” bone

Used to deal with it a lot. Steroid pack or shot from my PCP was the only thing that ever worked.

Thanks to all. The best thing so far was running pulsating warm water on it for about 10 minutes.
