That's a good deal. Unless it's in trash condition, you get a fair amount for the money, assuming all of.that is stuff you want.

If I only had somewhere to put all of it, I'd be all over it.

It's a very solid setup for someone looking to start a home gym. Those are all the basic pieces you need, and then maybe adding some extra weight for deads and squats.

It may be harder to find buyers because that really is a basic gym outfitting, and it's best as a starting point for someone. You could buy that and really never need anything else.

Of course, I'm semi addicted to buying extras, so I shouldn't talk on that.

Problem is most people just use their exercise equipment as a coat rack

Just pulled the trigger on a 300 lb weight set on ebay for under $300. Even if the bar turns out to be shitty the plates will be usable. 300 lbs should be enough for starters. Haven't decided on a rack yet. I can do floor work until I do. I was so tired of sandbag and bodyweight stuff and didnt want to join a gym. Will be good to have a barbell in my hands again.

Academy has a 300lb set for $200 LINK

I picked it up on Black Friday for $120. They always have sales on equipment. It's a decent enough set for my barn gym.

I went with this for the barn: LINK
Good price and I can do bench, squat, and its got a cable pulley system (comes with a few different attachments).

For plates, anything at or under a dollar a pound is reasonable. If the bar is usable, that's a bonus.

Problem with that set is you have to keep getting CAP 45s. They aren't normal diameter.

Yeah, I don't understand the places that sell nonregulation 45's. Dicks Sporting Goods in Tucson has zero regulation 45's for sale.

I pick some up on the cheap to fill out the stack on deads, but you can't use them solo, which is stupid.

My set arrived. A week late, but whatever. Counting the bar it's 350 lbs instead of 300, so a better deal. The bar is nothing special, but looks serviceable. Haven't put the weights on a scale but they "feel" about right. They have some kind of coating that should prevent rust as long as it lasts. For $300 and free delivery, I'm satisfied.

Picked up a 4x6 rubber stall mat from tractor supply. Now I need some kind of rack and I'll be GTG.
