Who else is excited? My only debate is whether to wait for the solar version, around 6 weeks, or go for the regular one. I don't think I need the solar option.

Watched the DC Rainmaker review this morning and this watch is really top notch for triathletes.

Solar is only needed to prolong battery life. If you are not doing full Ironmans, than it is not necessary.

Yeah I'm not going to get that. I do tris but I will never do an Ironman. For long bike rides it could be useful I guess, Gran Fondo type rides or Centuries.

Never say never . I think it's more within people's ability than they realize, but it is a huge training time commitment for ~6 months. I'm very happy I did one and a year before I had only done olys and never thought I'd do one.

Now as far as the watch, you really don't even need the battery life for the ironman. Not necessary for the swim, bike computer for the bike, then throw on a watch for the run.

I fully realize I will die if I do one.
