I have done 96 before just to do it. I like the way I feel doing them but I don’t like the muscle, strength and performance loss and frankly they are pain in the arse with co workers bugging the frick out of you

3 day fast was my longest. Did cardio every day during fast and had energy. Im sure lifting weights would have been hard though.

Longest is 42... but I try to fast twice a week for 32- 36 each. Stop eating Sunday night, break fast Tuesday morn; stop eating Wednesday night, break fast Friday morning.

I've done a couple of 72-hour fasts. I was doing 48 hour fasts pretty regularly (once a month) for a while. I should probably pick it up again, as I usually enjoy it. I cook most of the meals in my family, though, and it kind of sucks cooking meals for everyone and not eating. I also do find myself getting a little spacey in meetings after about hour 40 or so.

You think so but not the case. Fasting is truly mental in all respects. You should work up in terms of longer durations and not start at a 48 or 72.
In the long run, fasting is sustainable if you don’t go overboard on how much and often you do it. Also, figure out why you’re doing it.. weight loss, personal accomplishment, trying to find ways to keep your body guessing.

I think I'm going to try for a 48 hr fast next week. I've been doing OMAD for about 2 months now and loving it. I only get hungry when I know I'm about to eat. I think if I planned it out and just "knew" I wasn't going to eat it would be a cake walk. Pun intended.

I did Sunday midnight til Thursday night.
Tuesday I spent over an hr doing yard work and wasn't even tired.

It's so nuts to follow the fasting subreddit because people on there fast for like 3 weeks straight with just electrolytes, water, and black coffee/tea. Seems wild to me.

For health reasons I did a 14 day fast with water and bone broth only. I did the bone broth to add salt and other electrolytes to the body. The first 3-4 days weren’t fun but after that, my mind got clear and energy shot up. I also got extremely deep sleep with some very vivid dreams. Around day 10 I started getting weak and transitioned to keto on day 14.
I noticed that hunger pains hit at meal time and if I could push through meal time, it would get a lot easier. It’s also amazing how much we eat for social gatherings and how hard it is to overcome that. I will not do that again and don’t really recommend it. I hadn’t planned on going that long but I had felt like crap for so long that once I felt great, I wanted to push it for as long as I could. It’s why I chose to transition to keto so that I could maintain that feeling and get my health in line.
I was able to get off my bp meds, lost 30lbs in about 3mo, insulin resistance and fatty liver was addressed.

Right now i do 18 hours of fasting every day. Not sure the hangriness can tolerate the wife and kids if i tried pushing for a full day or more.
Gonna stick with this for now until its a normal habit.
