Has anyone done this? Any potential issues?

My home was pretty much destroyed last year by a massive tree and subsequent water damage, and we are almost done rebuilding.

The garage floor has taken a beating during construction and I’ve been debating how to remedy. Before the tree, I had about 25% of the garage in stall mats for my workout area and just filling with more mats seems like a way to cover the unsightly floor, add safety for the kids, and allow me to expand my home gym.

Do you park in your garage? The only thing I can think of is when it's raining and your car drips on the mats with the water not drying underneath them.

I think it’s a good idea. If you end up doing it, This is a cool way to keep them together and not shift around.

As earlier said, if you will park a car in there or do work in there where fluids might spill, that could be a down side. If not, sounds alright.
