Has anyone done this to relieve pain from tendinitis in your elbow? Will it cure the issue or is it just for temporary relief?

I’ve never heard of that. Can you elaborate?

I use something called a voodoo band. It is a rubber band and you wrap it around the elbow really tight to restrict blood flow to the area while doing range of motion and stretching exercises for about 2-3 minutes. When releasing the band new blood flows to the area rapidly to help heal.

I’m not familiar with that. Sounds interesting.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube about it. Just can't find an answer to my original question.

Well, tendonitis is an overuse injury. Best treatment is to let it rest. Maybe use bands to help push blood through.

Voodoo bands are great. I've used them with success on my knee and elbow.

Coincidentally, I was listening to Joe Defranco’s podcast today. He mentioned that lifting with a fat bar helps with tendonitis because of the way it distributes the load. Maybe give that a shot, too.

Won't make it go away but will relieve pain temporarily to get a workout in. That shite doesn't go away easily. Usually takes about 4 months for me.

If the issue results from upstream/downstream it really helps. If it’s legit tendon stuff, not so much.
