I did legs couple days ago and DOMS hit quads intensely. First time having since back working out in month or so

Have tried stretching, slow cardio bike, and rest

Any other suggestions? I’ve never expected DOMS to last over 48 hours specifically in quads.

I did front squat adding dumbbells and lunges instead of TRX squats and lunges with higher reps could that be the culprit?

Foam roll them and just do active recovery. Walking, biking, etc.

I had them bad after doing a crazy arse lunge and front squat workout from Ryan Fischer. It lasted 4 days. It will go away. Just go keto for a few days to avoid sitting on the toilet. LOL!

The stairs and getting out of car has been the worst. Toilet is just hope the shower curtain supports me getting up Lol

But Foam rolling I’ve never done. How does this work, what do you need to get, and do you use heat to increase before day and ice to decrease at end of day?

Get a roller and roll the quads. I also did some warm, Epsom salt soaks.

What’s wrong with DOMS? Other than a few instances of extreme doms where I completely over did it, I enjoy a little bit of soreness. It lets me know that I did some muscle damage

Best thing that works for me is to use those muscles. It’ll hurt until they’re warmed up, but after that it should help a lot. I’ve had some leg DOMS the last two days. Today I did a 30 minute E3MOM prowler push and rode the air bike at a super low pace during the rest time. I’m no longer walking like a baby deer.
