DEXA scan in baton rouge

Can anyone tell me if they know of a place that does the dexa scans in Baton Rouge? I googled and saw there is a place in Nola but wanted to see if anyone knew of anything closer

I know Pennington BioMedical has a DEXA for research (I was a lab rat once) but not sure if open to the public? You could try calling to see...

I've used the one in NOLA numerous times. John Dang is good people. It's the only one I know of in the area.

We have a DexaFit in Dallas, I assume you don't need a referral from a doctor? Also, if anyone knows, my insurance covers a Dexa once a year, will they take insurance at DexaFit?

No referral needed, dunno about insurance paying. Not sure how that works

Looks like there weren't any options in BR back in 2019 but surely that's changed in 5 years. Anyone aware of any options in Baton Rouge that are avail to the public?
