CrossFit games 2020 Part 1

So far we know 6 workouts.

Event 1: Friendly Fran: 3 rounds: 21 thrusters, 21 C2B pull-ups. W-85lbs, M-115lbs

Event 2: 20 minutes to establish 1 RM front squat

Event 3: Damn Diane: 3 rounds: 15 deadlifts, 15 deficit strict HSPU. W-205lb, 2in def, M-315lb, 3 in def

Event 4: 1000m row for time

Event 5: Nasty Nancy: 5 rounds: 500m run, 15 OH squats, 15 bar facing burpees. W-125lbs, M-185lbs

Event 6: Handstand hold.

I’d do OK in these two.

The last round of E3 would be rough, though.

I can row a 1:27 500M, but it would be 2 minutes for the next 500.

Also, will be visiting BR within next month and planning on doing a few drop-ins while there. Did one at GCF last full visit there Thanksgiving 2018 and open to recs next visit.

Slingin Iron in Walker
GCF in Baton Rouge
Cajun Crossfit in Prairieville

Slingin Iron is owned by a 2018 CF Games Masters athlete.

The CFGs Facebook page is posting the women’s videos for event 1 as they come in.

Kara Saunders is crushing everyone so far, 39 seconds faster than the next fastest time.

Brooke Wells: 4:28

Scott Tetlow, who was at Finish Strong CF in Slidell, has the 2nd fastest men’s time at 3:58. Noah Ohlsen is at 3:55

He’s actually back at FSCF this weekend to do the virtual events.

Fraser will win this event.

Davidsdottir shot up the leader board these last 3 events,

Currently 3rd entering the last event after 27th place in event 2.

4th, 1st and 1st these last 3 events,

Top 5 females:
Toomey, Wells, Adams, Katrin, & Kari Pearce

Top 5 males:
Fraser, Ohlsen, Medeiros, Kwant, & Adler

Women are all known. Different story when it comes to the males.

Pretty cool Louisiana connection about Tetlow. Did not know that. Saw Luckett (from BR and think went to Catholic) was around 20th or 30th after day 1.
