Concerns about hamstring soreness after stiff legged deadlifts

Just for reference, I’m performing sets of 5+ reps on conventional deadlift with over 300 pounds.
Tuesday this week I added stiff legged deadlifts to my routine. I’ve had issues with it before, so I kept the weight and reps low by just doing the bar.
I did 3 sets of 6. They were super easy and provided very little exertion during the sets.
But it’s now Friday and my hamstrings are still extremely sore. I missed my workout yesterday, skipped my runs, and will probably not do anything with legs until Sunday.
So what gives here with the stiff legged deadlifts? My initial thought is tight hamstrings, but I have no issues with conventional deadlifts, squatting, or hip thrusts. Could it be that my hamstrings are already elongated, and stiff legged deads are stretching too far?

That movement just requires more of the hamstring. There is less hip and glute activation that there is with the the standard deadlift. 3 days of soreness is pretty normal for legs. Peak soreness often doesn’t even hit until 48-72 hours.

Youre complaining about sore muscles from working out?

No, moron. I'm concerned that I can conventional deadlift without problems, but doing the bar on stiff legged deadlifts renders me useless for a week. That doesn't seem normal.

You just are not use to loading the hamstrings in a stretched position. Just keep doing it with the bar 3 times a week for a while and slowly add weight on 1 or 2 of the days.

Well, newbie, stiff legged deadlift works hamstring. They didn’t teach this at your introduction class at planet fitness?

It's not normal, but if you normally don't do them you will be sore for 2-3 days. That means they're working
If your hamstrings are that sore (weak), you might want to do some single leg RDL’s with body weight or with a light band to work through imbalances .

Novelty of stimulus; your body is being asked to work in a way it never has before. It’ll go away in 2-3 workouts. Take solace in the fact that if your hamstrings are sore, it means you’re doing the SLDL correctly and not turning into a low back exercise like my dumbass seems to do.
