They can survive 6 days without food or water, bro.

Our 2-week old eats like a freaking monster. It's insane. He grunts and claws and kicks before during and after mealtime, which is like every three hours.

I don't think fasting principles apply to babies, but I'm open minded. I only experiment with myself though. I'm trying to find a good time to do a 72-hr fast. Difficult these days.

I can't help but laugh through his videos.

I do agree formula is a scam.

I'm hesitant to go all in with this though as survival =/= optimal brain development (as perhaps evidenced by Cole himself).

Eta: also, when it comes to all things infant and birthing mothers, I always have to add that, while I still like to look toward evolutionary thriving and such, we have to bear in mind that infant/mother mortality is one of only two (3 if you separate germ theory and sanitation) step-function increases in life-expectancy in recorded history. So, I'm a little more cautious going all inuit and paleo. A lot of frickING KIDS frickING DIED YOU frickING PUSSIES!! THAT'S WHY PEOPLE HAD TWENTY KIDS, TO END UP WITH 4 OF THEM!

Congrats! Mine just hit one month Thursday. And yeah, he is a really loud eater. It's even worse when we give him a bottle.

It has its place. If Mom has issues producing or doesn't produce at all, then it makes sense. We have a can of it in the pantry as a "just in case". Emergency reserves in case we get hurt or if grandma is watching him and we run long or something.

Have you ever seen how fat 6 month olds are? No abs, just rolls.

They need to fast and get back to their birth weight.

Now I have the mental image of Cole yelling at babies calling them fatties and whatever else he calls fat people

This is what make ketosis great. Babies are in "mild ketosis" if drinking breast milk. As far as formula goes, it is why breast fed babies usually have a higher iq than formula fed, all things else the same of course.

The reason behind that is fat is easiest to digest so it gives your body time and energy to work elsewhere than spending so many resources digesting something like protein. More fatty foods, better brain. The brain takes a ton of energy and best way to get it is via fat.

Eight minute mark starts talk of newborns, but the whole fifteen minute video is good.
