Early am: 118/76
Later in the day: 136/86 to 140/90
When is the afternoon/later day BP considered too high?

Are you sitting and resting a minute before checking it in the afternoon? My initial reading on my OMRON is always 10-15 points higher… I wait a minute or 2 and the following readings are $$

The book says you want to be under 120/80.
In reality you want to be under 140/90, and don't be concerned if a reading slightly over that is an outlier.

quote:I disagree. Anything over 120/80 hypertension. 140/90 is definitely not healthy zone.

How many meds should I take for this? I’m guessing at least trt and glp, but what else?

In most cases you should use the average of several reading throughout the day. For instance my BP is about 125/68 to 130-70 but after a workout my BP may be 100/58 to 110/62. Average those and I’m happy.

When diastolic is 90-100 while at rest. 86-90 unrested won't even raise a doctor's brow.

That's pretty normal. BP fluctuates throughout the day.
