I just think 777 is a smart guy, and his posts show that.

My thoughts on each category I mentioned.

Nootropics. I am using carnitine, huperzine a and alpha gpc for long term brain maintenance. Obviously, if the goal is not to get dementia, it's hard to report in the short term. I have seen effects in dream quality and feel sharper, but it is more long term I care about.

I take N Pept 10, ironically on 777's recommendation. I have found it a very effective short term cognitive enhancer. That said, I build a tolerance fast and get bad withdrawal headaches. I use it only when I want a bump, once a week or so, max.

Prohormones, I've never used them illegally, and all the good ones got scheduled, so they've gone illegal after I stopped using them. Too bad, Epistane was good stuff, but not good enough I feel like breaking the law after it got illegalized.

Recovery:

Foam Rolling--Never got much benefit. It does feel good and I still do it, but it's never made a difference in performance.

Mobility work--Yes. I slack too often, but this is great for recovery and overall health. I just get busy, lazy and am too quick not to do this.

Epsom salt baths--Never gotten a performance benefit. That said, they are super relaxing, and I fall asleep really easily after, which is a benefit unto itself.

Contrast baths--Wish I could try these. There's some decent research, but it's hard to set them up.

Active recovery--Another good one. Light walks/hikes on off days have been good to me in reducing soreness, and they're also generally pretty relaxing.

None of this is a silver bullet. These are all just various things to supplement the core of exercise, solid diet and sleep. Those are always the major factors to get right.

I have posted my transformation picture on here plenty of times.

I have plenty of experience, I use nootropics and use them when I have times when I am extremely busy for work. I also use mk and others at times to help achieve goals.

I am out of town but I will be more than happy to lay out both protocols later this week when I get back in town.

As far as what you have achieved, congrats. You lost the fat by being in a caloric deficit. You manipulated water using carb timing and or diuretics. Noatter how you did it, it damn impressive and a level 90% of people will never achieve.

Used all or still use these. The cold baths make the biggest difference along with shoulder work to me.

Band pull apart & dislocates make a big difference. So does doing overhead squat with just the broomstick. Really has helped with my shoulder and chest mobility.

Band dislocations made a massive difference in elbow pain I was getting from low bar squatting.

I said nothing was a magic bullet, but the band dislocations pretty much ended elbow pain from law bar squats. They're part of every squat warmup for me now.

Now you’re talking my language, it’s really the thing I’ve been trying lately and was wondering opinions on. I’m exploring the Wim Hof method and I love the breathing as it helps create a meditative state and I’m a big fan of meditation in general. But he has a “cold submersion” aspect to his method to fight inflammation on several fronts and help the immune system in the long run. I did cold showers for a few weeks and was feeling great, so did an ice bath last week. I got sick as shite, could’ve been a coincidence, but I think 20 min in the ice bath was way too long and it just put my dick in the dirt. I’ve read since the sweet spot is 4-8 minutes. Any of y’all have experience taking ice baths not just for post workout recovery but somewhat regularly for immune system enhancement purposes?

I will give you one thing, you have giant balls? 20 min what in the frick!!!! No wonder you got sick, that's nuts. Especially for the first time. It didn't knock your dick in the dirt, your dick was hiding in your stomach lol.

That's crazy you went straight from showers to full tilt ice bath.

Imo it should go cold showers to cold bath to ice bath. I have never been able to go longer than 3 min in a full tilt ice bath but I also do those irregularly. I do contrastai ly, especially winter time. I go in our hot tub, then jump into the pull mainly for my cold immserion.

I don't get the whole meditation thing I just use it to really relax and try and not have any blue light. Seems to help my recovery.

I also like to use 10-20 min naps through the day to help recovery when focusing on strength and hypertrophy

Great advice! Thanks, sorry for any insults I may hav thrown at you earlier. I’ve heard of cutting out the blue light, but haven’t made an effort to eke I ate it yet. Naps are money and I’ll lay down for 30 min in the afternoon before the PM training session, whether I actually fall asleep or not. I started the meditation for visualization purposes in the days approaching a race, but I’ve found it gives a good feeling and makes me so much more productive.

This. Just because Andy cheated his way there with steroids, hgh and a little orange spray tan doesn’t mean he knows shite.

You can be a great coach without being a great player. You can be both, but you don’t necessarily have to be.

It’s clear that for all the lifting Andy has done, he’s quite self-conscience about what he’s “accomplished”.

I will give you this, y’all are way better trolls than I could ever be! One could only hope to have the fat wives and ugly kids y’all have! You’re probably the type who thinks Lance Armstrong was nothing but a no good cheater either. Quick to poin the finger regardless of the last time you were able to see your dick underneath that belly of yours.

Speaking of ice, I was at the Xfinity store next to this place changing out a cable box. I've wanted to try it, but it seems prohibitively expensive.

LINK

They did have a holiday special of 4 treatments for $30. I could see trying, but at a regular $20 per session...I just can't. I've seen some people do the cryo chamber for athletic recovery, and it seems solidly backed by science.

My wife actually just got me a cryo session for Christmas, so I’ll be able to give y’all an update in a week or so. It’s a kinda cool concept, but just like the Float tank it’s not a habit I could sustain.

Cryo works but is cost prohibitive. But if you are feeling very under recovered or you have a volume squat day or running something like smovlov or sheiko for 8 weeks or so it can he used but I can't imagine using it longer then that.
