This cannot be real? Is this another 777 alter testing us?

60-120 seconds between sets, that is all you need.

Like I said, I'm not in a workout program like most on here.

I bench, take off the weights, then go play basketball. Not that bad of an exercise, plus I can actually work up a sweat. Repeat.

Thanks all, I did the light weight sets and 3 minute rest. Definitely felt different and learned I need to do 10-15 warm up reps. Another plus is I did this the next day, no off day.

Well decide what you want to do. You can work up a sweat (nothing wrong with that) or get stronger (which will work up a sweat)

If you want to focus on some strength, start with a linear progression plan (5x5, Starting Strength, Grayskull).

Ride that up until you in the 225+ on bench/deads/squats. Then hop off into PPSA program or a 531 template.

You can also stay on the progression plans into 300+ range, but they tend to get boring after some time.

Or you can still just do cardio like now playing bball and be in good shape.

This forum is turning to shite.
People come ask for advice. The good advice from respected people gets down voted and the random nonsense ridiculous advice gets more attention.

Dude, you come in here with wrong info, wrong routine that you do not even do, and name call and being a fricking douche. Maybe your weak arse shite needs to head back to the soccer board.

Oh, wait, I eat preworkout, on gear or whatever stupid buzzwords you use. It is obvious you are a tool. But some military guy sold you on a shite routine a bunch of years ago and yet you are still in beginner mode.

So sensitive around here. I bet I can picture exactly the type of fig you look like in the gym

Also, don't shite on the "beginner mode" workout until you successfully do it. Which I can guarantee you won't be able to do

You must be talking about him. I don't know anything about working out, remember? So I definitely don't have a tripod to post my PPSA and crossfit workouts on my fitness influencer Instagram page like you two hunks

There is more than one way to skin a cat but that workout is basically German volume training. It’s not a long term plan and definitely not the best way to increase a 1rm. But will get your GPP up

I’ve mentioned VDIP before on here, but I think it’s an excellent program that can teach you to “try hard”. I think it’s an excellent program for beginners that don’t understand RPE and progression depending on a rep target is fool proof.

It’s increased my 12 year olds lifts at least 50%. There’s a free excel program on lift vault. It would help a bunch on here.

We talking about this
quote:

135 X 10
145 X 10
155 X 10
165 X 10
175 X 10
185 X 10
195 X 10
205 X 10
215 X 10
225 X 10

Might try this. Did a AMRAP of 15@235, with 5 ramp up sets before it. 10 reps @ 225 is easy, but curious how those first 9 will kill me getting there.

Edit to add - apparently only 1-3% of the world population can bench 225lbs. 100% of the OT can though

Well it is an ongoing goal of mine now. Tried it today and I was good to 205. 215 and 225 were not 10 reps.

Did 10 reps with bar and 5 at 95, then attacked it taking 90 seconds in between sets. Might have gone better with longer rest.

Those extra sets and reps do take a toll. I am doing 5x5s now in bench to progress it up and currently at 5x5 at 245. Those 10 rep sets felt like dang cardio
