Only time I've ever seen it used is during surgery. Would mix and inject to help find hot lymph nodes or flush through a catheter, into the bladder to check for holes.

Please be careful for whoever takes this
It’s an MAOI and interacts with almost all medications
( there are days in school I vividly remember and my group was up presenting a patient case and there was an issue with methylene blue and our professor had us all stumped and then he revealed that it was an MAOI and I will never forget that feeling of looking like an idiot in front of our class.. although I wasn’t the only one )
