Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, an interventional cardiologist, teaches that fasting lowers high insulin levels and improves metabolic health by shifting the body to burn fat for fuel.Core PhilosophyInsulin Reset: Eating constantly keeps insulin high, which stops your body from burning fat. Fasting lets insulin levels drop so your body can access stored energy.Metabolic Flexibility: Fasting trains your cells to switch smoothly between using sugar (glucose) and fat (ketones) for energy.Fixing Hunger Cues: Many people eat out of habit or sugar dependency rather than true physical hunger.

I don't have time for the full video right now but what exactly would even be controversial about these claims?

All of them?

This one for starters. Aside from it being an obvious thing to state (not eating makes you burn fat), it doesn't matter over the long haul.

If you eat the same amount of calories/macros per day, your body would burn the same amount of energy regardless of meal timing: either you ate the right amount of food to burn fat or you did not.

Eating constantly keeps insulin high, which stops your body from burning fat.

Same exact response here. Eating "constantly" but staying within a set diet will result in the same amount of "fat burning" as fasting part of the day and then eating the same diet.

If fasting helps someone stay within their caloric goal for the day, more power to them, but its not a magical fat burning tool.
