LINK

I thought about getting one of the saunas linked above.

Anyone have experience with buying/assembling a home dry sauna?

I actually tried to build my own wet sauna...I had a campfire I put rocks in then moved the rocks under a canvas enclosure I had...then I poured water on the rocks. I got it up to 78 degrees on a 50 degree day.

Needless to say, it was a failure.

All the reviews for the one on Amazon that’s like the one in your link are positive

I've been going to the dry sauna at my gym a little more often lately. Usually nobody is in there and I don't even know that much about the health benefits.

Last weekend, there was an 84 year old guy that talked my ear off for the 15 minutes I was in there. It turned into one of the best conversations I've ever had.

I have a health mate sauna. It’s raw cedar. I’ve heard hemlock is junk.

I’ve seen a similar two person sauna for sale at Costco. It looks pretty legit, but it looks a little small.

Are there any proven health benefits to using a sauna? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good sauna/steam room because they feel good, if anything.

My parents have the 2 person sauna from Costco that they gave to me. It’s just me in it usually so I bring in a slat and lay across the bench. I think it helps after lifting to keep from tightening up and my skin looks healthier. Nothing beats a workout, sitting in the sauna for 40 minutes, then taking a cold shower

Keeps you warmed up and loose after a good workout. I use the steam room in the gym for about 10 minutes on leg days. May all be in my head, but it seems like I'm less sore the next couple of days if I do this than when I skip it.
