Anyone Have a VO2 Max Test?

I had one done on the treadmill last week. Weird experience trying to run with a Darth Vader mask on. Anyway, got my results back and it included a value I was hoping one of yall could explain. Google search didn't yield much.
My VO2 max METs: 15.2 METs
WTF does this mean? I have a follow up with them this week or next, but was trying to educate myself some before the review.
Other than that, it was pretty straight forward. My fat max HR is 141. That's the HR where I burn the most fat. Which makes sense seeing as how I've dropped almost 10 lbs since I move the the 80/20 running plan which has a target HR of 135-145.

multiply by 3.5 to convert to ml/kg/min, in your case this would = 52.5 ml/kg/min.
Just out of curiosity, what is your gender, ht/wt and age?
edited to ask the above questions.

I got the VO2 max number. I was just curious what the METs meant if anything other than a restatement of the VO2 max.

METs are just a way to measure energy expenditure. 1 MET is a very basic amount of energy that the body spends when pretty much not putting forth any effort.
You are definitely in an elite category for fitness by that measured VO2 max.
Just out of curiosity, do you wear an apple watch, and if so, what does your health app tell you your estimated VO2 max is?

I have a Garmin 745. It gives me a VO2 max of 46. The guy that did the testing said it'd be wrong.
I was pretty happy with the results. Distance running at a moderate pace came easy to me. Need to improve my speed, but not sure how fast I can get at 50 yrs old.

MHR was only 182. I’ve measured it at 195 on my Polar twice while running hill intervals. To be honest, running with the mask on was really hard. It was not enjoyable and called it early. Figure I’ll get another one before the Mercedes Marathon in Jan. I’ll aim to hit my max HR and see if that changes anything.

This is something that I’ve been interested in doing as well. How much did the test cost? And how long was it supposed to take/how long did you last?

I got mine as part of a diet/fitness trainer. I pay the dude monthly $75 and get one of these a year included. You can get one at any decent university. Samford here in Bham offers them for $100: Samford Testing. Also, the manufacturer lists some testing centers: Korr Testing Providers

The test takes 20-30 mins. Mine was simply running on a treadmill as they slowly increased the speed and incline. The mask part is uncomfortable and I'm not the biggest fan of the treadmill. I'll get another one in Jan to see how consistent they are.
