I was doing shoulder presses a few months ago and felt something "tear" or "pop" as I did my last rep. I iced it and heated and and it didn't do much but did help some. The pain doesn't bother me but it hurts like hell when I wake up in the morning.

Should I go see a dr? Should I let it heal on its own and if so, how long does this even take? When the pain does come, it's maybe a 6-7/10.

If it happened a few months ago, I would say that it is time to see a doc...

Sounds like a sprain or strain of your pussiloric muscle

It's a sensitive area that can stay inflamed for weeks

I’m an orthopedic Physician assistant. I would say that since it’s been months you should see an orthopedic doctor. More then likely will need an MRI to determine if you have a rotator cuff tear or if it’s just a deltoid Strain which could just require some formal physical therapy. Hope this helps.
