Any reliable tests for male patterned baldness or other hair loss causes?

I'm nearing the end of my journey of boosting my testosterone naturally, and I don't think it's going well. I am most likely going to end up on TRT. One of my fears is that I will go bald once my T levels go up. My father had a full head of hair when he started TRT at 52 and was noticeably balding by 55.
If I go on TRT with a genetic disposition for MPB, I'll probably go on finasteride because I don't know if I can handle losing my hair.
Are there any actual reliable tests to take for this? Anyone have experience? I've found some online, but I'm not sure if any are to be trusted as reliable. There are also suggestions for going to the dermatologist, but my experience with doctors is mostly that they don't care that much about you. They just want to identify whatever illness/ailment you have and then treat it. I seriously doubt they want to hang out with a middle aged guy and figure out if I'm predisposed to going bald.

Best indicator I know is if your maternal grandfather was bald. For example,my paternal grandfather was bald, his fringe was gray,he had 6 sons and only one was bald. They never even got gray hair.Grandfather had 3 daughters, most of their sons bald to one degree or another. One of my cousins is about 65,he’s not bald but his brothers are.
My maternal grandfather had a high forehead and widow peaks with gray hair.Mine is same except my widow peaks aren’t as severe as his were.
My wife’s father was bald.her 2 sons are bald. She has 2 brothers 1 has a full head of hair, the other brother is 70 and his hair is getting pretty thin last year,or so.His health is not very good though.
Of my acquaintances, that is the pattern, not 100% but pretty high percentage.

Nature genetic prediction of male pattern baldness study
Basically shows that even complex genetic testing (which I doubt is available to the public) is going to be wrong about 30% of the time. The crystal ball you seek doesn't exist. You are going to have to accept the risk if you use TRT.

I figured.
I have very youthful looks that I’d like to keep. Time’s a bitch.

Can you share what you've done?

Trying to lose body fat. Consistency with weight lifting. Adding in consistent aerobic conditioning.
I’m eating 150g protein from meat, 35g fiber from plant based sources, and 90ish grams of fat from meat and olive oil. I started at 5’7 177 pounds and it took a month to get consistent with a calorie deficit. I’ve been doing really well the past 2.5 weeks, and I’m down to 173 based on the scale the past few days.
I’ve also tried getting laid more with my wife.
It’s a struggle with all of it. I’m tired, cranky, fatigued, brain fog. I have a hard time finishing workouts. I’ve been finishing them, but it fricking sucks and I’m not doing that much. Sundays I do a mobility warm up, a 1/2 mile jog, heavy bench press (work up to one AMRAP set), weight pull ups 3x5, and a superset of lat raises and unweighted pull ups. It’s not nothing, but it’s not a high volume day by any means.
Anyways, I was hoping I could put together 3 months of consistency to see if a lifestyle change could improve things. My body and mood are making it really difficult to do so.
