I've tried a few online calculators and my scale gives me one as well but I don't find that they're anywhere near accurate

BMR and TDEE is going to be a guessing game. you aren't going to know until you slowly find that equalibrium point through trial and error. I would start at BW*13 and that will get you pretty close for most people.
Stay consistent and weigh every two weeks and adjust as needed.

Snap shot only but it's a good starting point, so is inbody scan.

I take it these are things that can be done in any reasonably sized metro area? I'm sort of in the boondocks over here but I'll be going home to Corpus Christi for labor day weekend

Looks like there is a place about 10 minutes from my house that does a DXA scan. I assume that's the same as a DEXA scan.
Guess I'll need to call and make an appointment. Then I'll bump my results the next time I go home a few months later.

Website had my BMR @1750 but Inbody @ 1925. Now I’m sure that has to do with what I clicked on the website regarding job/days a week working out.

The most accurate is an RMR test. Google it and see if anyone your area offers it.

It is the same. It will include bone density.
